How To Use Herbalife | Which Herbalife Products Should I Get?

If you have just started with Herbalife Nutrition, you might be wondering how to use the products to get the best results from the Herbalife 21 Day Challenge.


How can Herbalife help with my weight management journey ?


People usually join Herbalife for three main reasons. The first one is to lose weight and tone. The others are to increase weight or muscle size. I always ask questions to find out my client's goal, learn about what a normal day consists of for them and suggest a plan that meets their current needs based on their answers. In this article, we will be focusing on losing weight.


If the goal is to tone or lose weight, I usually suggest starting with the 5 products in Herbalife's 21 Day Challenge Programme: Formula 1 shake, Protein drink mix, Herbal Aloe Concentrate, Instant Herbal Beverage and Oat Apple Fibre.


The Formula One Shake is the absolute flagship of Herbalife. If there is one product you should use when on a weight management programme with Herbalife, it is the Formula One shake. It acts as a meal replacement, so it gives your body a complete source of protein, vitamins and minerals. It is high in nutrients and low in calories and that's exactly what you want when you are trying to lose body fat.


Herbalife Protein Drink Mix goes hand in hand with Formula One, as it is whey protein milk replacement. It is low in carbohydrates and high in protein. It also has much less sugar than the average milk, so there is the added satisfaction of knowing you are consuming less sugar and more protein.


Herbalife Nutrition's Instant Herbal Beverage gives an amazing energy boost and enhances the burning of fat by increasing your metabolism. Its a great alternative, if you like to have coffee or caffeine throughout the day as it has high antioxidants and is a more healthier alternative to coffee.


I love to add the Herbal Aloe Concentrate Mango to my Thermo tea. It enhances the taste of the tea and is a great replacement for soda or high sugar juices. The aloe plant is great for improving your soothing the stomach. It supports a healthy digestive system and has 0 calories and no added sugar.


Last but by no means least, we have my personal favourite, Herbalife's oat apple fibre. This product is a great way to boost your fibre intake, support healthy digestion and promote the growth of friendly bacteria in your digestive tract. It contains 5 grams of soluble and insoluble fibre with each serving and only 18 calories. I personally like to add it to the Formula 1 Shakes I have for breakfast and find it to be a great way to add fibre to my diet.


The above is basically all of the products that I used at the start my Herbalife journey and that I stick to when completing a Herbalife 21 day challenge. I also add one of Herbalife's high protein bars if I fancy a mid morning snack. My personal favourite is the H24 chocolate chip cookie dough. It helps to manage my cravings, whilst still managing to be low in sugar and contains 21g of protein per bar.


In the evening, you want to have a healthy dinner that's around 500-600 calories if you want to lose weight. I like to keep the meals simple, but also ensure that I am not skipping out on my favourite dishes every night. Balance is key.


Exercise

I was tempted to do a whole separate piece on this topic. I always get asked by clients, if you still need to exercise when using Herbalife or if its recommended that clients work out when using the products. My answer is always the same, yes. The Formula 1 shakes act as a meal replacement and are are not designed to leave you feeling low in energy or drained, as is the case with some other weight management programmes.


Exercise help to keep us healthy and is good for the body, so I will always recommend it. It's a great way to burn more calories and if you want to gain muscle, it can help to breakdown the muscle tissue to promote muscle growth (depending on the exercises chosen). I always recommend that my clients take part in a form of exercise they enjoy at least two to three times a week.
